WHY ANOTHER NEWSPAPER AND WEB SITE?

Syracuse and Onondoga County are made up of many smaller communities.  Each distinct neighborhood has its own personality and style.  Here, people proudly hail from "Tipp Hill", "The Northside", The Valley" or "Elmwood" to name only  a few.  The residents of each unique neighborhood feel that they have made the best choice and feel comfortable with the area.  Sometimes, people move to another area but soon return to the comforts of their own neighborhood.

It is the hope of The Association for Better Living that through these publications, we can draw on this civic pride to improve all of our neighborhoods and to provide one of the links that make Syracuse and Onondoga County one of the better places to live.

How will we do this?  We will share the neighborhood news.  People and organizations will be encouraged to let us know about their joys, triumphs, concerns and sorrows.  We will provide a public forum for people to discuss things of interest to them.  Beginning writers will have a place to publish their novice prose and poetry.  We will offer advice on legal, personal and health related matters. We will have announcements of public meetings, birthdays and anniversaries.  People of all ages, who deserve acknowledgment for their accomplishments, will be publicly praised in our paper and on our web site.

The Association for Better Living feels there is a real need for Better Living Times and this web site in Syracuse and Onondoga County.
