Through our Handyman Service, unemployeed or under-employeed people are being trained in the housing and other trades.  There is strong emphasis on teaching good work habits along with job skills. 
The Handyman Service is a major source of our funding.
Find Good Rental Housing! 

Our monthly Rental Hot Sheet has been a free listing for people seeking a new place to live.  The list has included information which helped tenants and property managers match their mutual needs.  This is temporarily suspended do to lack of funding.  We are seeking a corporate sponsor for Better Living Times.  This will enable us to resume the Rental Hot Sheet as well! 
Maintain and Fix Stuff!

Our Small Job Service does those necessary tasks such as lawn cutting, painting and minor household repairs.  No job is too small. 
Provide Computer Access for KIDS!

A2ZComputers has been working with us to provide free, older style, computers to block captains in the community.  This will allow children who would not have access to a computer to gain skills and improve their school performance. 
Help with Tenant, Landlord Disputes!

The Association for Better Living provides counceling to help tenants and landlords resolve disputes, thus avoiding having homes disruppted by unneccessary evictionss.  Community Clean-ups!

Members of the Association for Better Living have been working with other community organizations to arrange block-by-block community clean-ups. 
Parties in the Parks!

The Association for Better Living has been working with other local organizations to provide community picknicks and activities in the neighborhood parks.  The food and other supplies for these parties have been provided by stores and companies doing business in the neighborhoods where the parties are given.
