Communities United to Rebuild Neighborhoods (CURN) is doing a greatjob serving the Children of the neighborhood with their new library which is housed at 912 Midland Ave.  In addition, there are a variety
of activities taking place at the Library like:  cooking classes, learning games, such as spelling and math, dominos, and working ona computer.  The attendance has grown tremendously since our inceptionin October of  '95. We currently have 10-15 children per day who comein and stay for about two hours.  We also have a wonderful mentor by the name of Derrick Strachan who comes in weekly to work with the children on playing listening games
and accompanies us on our field trips.  So far we have gone to Peter's IGA, and the Senior Citizen Center on Beech Street.
